Students of the Department of Water Resource Management (MSP) FPIK IPB who are members of the Student Association of Aquatic Resources (HIMASPER) organized a Water Festival 2015 which is aimed at students MSP, Lecturer and Staff MSP, IPB students, Students for Bogor, the community around IPB campus, students high school, junior high and elementary school for Bogor. Activity on the theme “Trilogy of Water” (Preservation, Utilization and Preservation of Aquatic Resources) held on 11.29.2015 were held at the Auditorium Sumardi Sastrakusumah and IPB Rector Field. Water Festival 2015 officially opened by the Chairman of the Department of MSP FPIK IPB, Dr. Ir. Mohammad Mukhlis Kamal, M.Sc, he advised that the activities Water Festival 2015 could be even better, a positive example, and continues to be increased in the days to come. This event was also attended by the coach at the same HIMASPER MSP Lecturer, Mrs. Inna Puspa Ayu, S. Pi, M.Sc.
Kinds of activities are divided into activities indor and outdor activities. Indor activities held in the Auditorium Sumardi Sastrakusumah, filled with talk about the form of the development and utilization of water conservation, which includes sustainable use, preservation and protection, along with two speakers, namely Dr. Ir. Fredinan Yulianda, M.Sc (Lecturer MSP) and Devy Suradji (WWF Indonesia). Then proceed to talk about the community of lovers of the aquatic environment, which is filled by three speakers: Babeh Idin (Jawara Buana), Sudirman Asun (Ciliwung Institute), and Adithiyasanti Sofia (Save Shark Indonesia). “Everyone should have a sense of care for the environment, love for the sustainability of water resources, and a sense of want to keep any existing potential, so that aquatic resources that exist today become permanent conservation and sustainable development.” Dr. Ir. The series of events held in the grounds outdor IPB Rector is a morning walk around the campus of IPB and its surroundings, the introduction of Panda WWF and mobile, free library, drawing and coloring competition for kindergarten and elementary school, as well as the introduction of the Save Shark Indonesian community.
